Meet Terra 



In 1999 an emergency room doctor told me I would never live a normal life without gall bladder attacks. My only choice was surgery to have it removed. I walked out of the ER, went home, researched and promptly changed my life. I spent the next 2 months getting off caffeine, cigarettes, processed meats, refined sugars and fried foods. I cleansed my body through juicing and a macrobiotic diet.  

In the past 11 years I have maintained a balanced, healthy lifestyle. My last gall bladder attack was the one that landed me in the ER in 1999. I used food and yoga to heal my life and truly believe that food is medicine. I have maintained such a healthy life style that I haven't needed to use prescription drugs in 11 years. While working for a fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, I realized this was not normal for the average American. That realization led me to Integrative Nutrition. 

I have now dedicated myself to the study of achieving vibrant health through nutrition. I received my nutrition education from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City (2009), where I had the amazing opportunity to work with some of the top practitioners in the field of Holistic Health including Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, Paul Pitchford, Sally Fallon, John Douillard, Victoria Moran, David Wolfe and others. 

I have been practicing and living yoga since 1999. I am a certified Yoga Instructor (2oo hr. Hatha Yoga 2007, 200 hr. Soul Sweat Asana 2010), a certified Wise Mammas (2007) and Pranakriya Prenatal Teacher (2008) and post natal, Mommy & Me yoga instructor (2008) and DONA trained doula. 

It is my passion and desire to combine my training and a health coach and extensive prenatal experience and doula training to empower women to nurture their inner strength, balance and peace to allow them to grow into their unique wellness and birthright of vibrant health. 

I am also the co-owner of 3 Healthy Chicks, LLC along with fellow IIN graduates Lauren Forney and Jill Rizzi. As 3 Healthy Chicks, we teamed up to pool our knowledge and resources together to actively create greater change in people's health and wellness. 3 Healthy Chicks live green, eat organic and practice yoga to Keep it Fresh. We lead nutritious lives filled with yoga, art and advocacy and inspire others to do the same. Our counseling promotes local, sustainable foods and wellness opportunities, not matter where a client may reside.
